2024 started with a challenging project - a presentation website that must be different. From all points of view.
From the structure, story and layout, the project turned out to be a real challenge - we turned to immersive animations, different ideas and an extra touch of creativity.
The project
xAlmost black
The basic tone of the site, the same as the one we use.;
Permanent red
The basic color of the brand, used for decorative elements, text, but also as a background for sections
Pure white
Used for text bodies
Medium gray
Gray tones are used in animations to suggest the activity object
Light gray
Gray tones are used in animations to suggest the activity object
Abril
Serious, bold, emphatic - it is one of our favorite fonts - especially when we can put it in a slightly brutalist light.
Montserrat
With a very large variety, it allows the creation of details inside text bodies.
The moodboard contains "image" - or everything related to it - from the first photo that survived history, to the last DSLR model released on the market.
The basic color respects the chosen palette, but this is not exhaustive. Being a creative field, there are no imposed limitations.
The site
Atypical
The navigation menu is asymmetrical, composed of some rectangular blocks whose edges are defined on hover. However, its shape is not accidental - each button represents a pixel from Niépces photograph
Story in perspective
The homepage takes visitors from the first photo, taken almost two centuries ago, to services indispensable to businesses today.
Animated
For each service we have included a simple illustration in the brands colors. The juxtaposition between the antique photos and the digital drawing has the role of bringing the viewer to the present day.
A look behind the curtains
The camera obscura is a page dedicated to stories from the field, from the studio, from skaters on the road or nearby. Visitors can scroll through the photos lying on the wire to dry and click on them to find out their story.
No limits
"Permanent red is too harsh to be the background of an entire section." Who says? We say it is perfect to shock, amaze, catch the eye. And we are not afraid to use it.
